Tony Curtis

Tony Curtis, born in 1925, American film actor, who was popular in the 1950s and 1960s. He starred with Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot (1959). Curtis gave one of his best performances in Sweet Smell of Success (1957) as a nervously energetic press agent. His other films include Trapeze (1956), The Vikings (1958), Spartacus (1960), and The Boston Strangler (1968).

He was born Bernard Schwarz and adopted the name Tony Curtis. He was married to actress Janet Leigh; their daughter is actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
