William Howard Taft National Historic Site

William Howard Taft National Historic Site, national historic site authorized in 1969. Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, the site preserves the birthplace and childhood home of United States president William Howard Taft (1909-1913). Taft is the only president to also serve as chief justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. The restored home depicts the life of the Taft family from the 1850s to the 1870s. Administered by the National Park Service. Area, 1.2 hectares (3.1 acres).
