Aymara

Aymara, Native American people, who inhabit the high plateau surrounding Lake Titicaca in Peru and Bolivia. They are believed to have built the ancient city of Tiwanaku in Bolivia. The Aymara were conquered by the Incas in the 15th century and by the Spanish conquistadores in 1538.
