Gulf of Guinea, arm of the Atlantic Ocean, western Africa, between Cape Palmas, at the southeastern tip of Liberia, and Cape Lopez, Gabon. The gulf forms two bays, the Bight of Benin and the Bight of Biafra (Bonny).
