Sognafjorden

Sognafjorden, long and narrow indentation on the coast of southwestern Norway, extending inland for a distance of 204 km (127 mi). It is the longest fjord in Norway and is in the midst of rugged and magnificent scenery. Mountains rise from it to a height of 1,500 m (5,000 ft). The maximum height of its walls is 1,308 m (4,291 ft). The mouth is north of Bergen.
