1999: Ice Skating: Michelle Kwan Wins Third U.S. Title

Michelle Kwan captured her third United States championship, and Michael Weiss won his first at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships on February 13, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Both were heavy favorites to win the titles.
