Pluto and the Kuiper Belt
Pluto is associated with the Kuiper Belt, a disk-shaped collection of small, icy objects in the outer solar system. The belt extends from just inside Neptune’s orbit to far beyond the orbit of Pluto. Pluto and Kuiper Belt objects called plutinos orbit the Sun two times for every three orbits by Neptune.
