Set of Monkey Business
American motion-picture director Howard Hawks, seated, directs American actors Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe on the set of the 1952 film Monkey Business. Hawks, who also produced and wrote films, was one of the most versatile American directors. In 1974 he received a special Academy Award for his contributions to the film industry.
