Mount Sinai

Jabal Mosá (Arabic for “Mountain of Moses”) rises 2285 m (7497 ft) above sea level on the Sinai Peninsula. The mountain is believed to be the biblical Mount Sinai where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments from God. The small chapel at the summit is located near a cave where Moses was sheltered as God passed by. (Exodus 33:22).
