Renaissance House, Hameln

Renaissance House, Hameln
Hameln, or Hamelin, in Lower Saxony is home to the 13th-century legend of the Pied Piper, and the famous story of the disappearance and fate of the town's children is still performed here during the summer. This small city on the Weser receives many thousands of visitors every year. Centuries of history are evident in the charming old-town houses and narrow streets of Hameln, which was a member of the medieval Hanseatic League. One of the city's most famous sites, with a link to the Pied Piper legend, is the Rattenfängerhaus, or Ratcatcher's House.
