Madagascar

Madagascar
Madagascar lies off the southeastern coast of Africa. It is sometimes referred to as the "Great Red Island" because of the red soil caused by the presence of murrum (solid ironstone) and laterite combined with other red earths. The country's best soil is found along the coast and in river valleys of the central plateau.
