Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings was the burial site used by Egyptian rulers of the New Kingdom period (1550-1070 bc). The entrance to the tomb of the young king Tutankhamun is pictured in the foreground. This tomb was discovered in 1922 with many of its treasures intact.
