Parliament Building in New Delhi, India
A statue of Indian nationalist leader Mohandas Gandhi sits across from the Indian parliament building in New Delhi. The circular colonnaded building was designed by British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. They were responsible for the planning of New Delhi, which in 1931 officially became the new capital of India, then a British colony.
