Key Structures in a Hydrofoil
A hydrofoil is a boat that uses foils, or wing-shaped blades, to rise out of the water. The foils are attached to struts, which support the boat as it rises above the water. Hydrofoils can reach great speeds because they experience little resistance from the water.
