Types of Bird Nests

Bird nests are constructed in a variety of sizes and shapes out of natural and artificial materials. Nests are designed for incubating and protecting the eggs and for housing the nestlings. They are commonly camouflaged, and sometimes specially constructed, to protect against predation by snakes, rodents, or other birds.
