Mouth Blisters Characteristic of Foot-and-Mouth Disease
Foot-and-mouth disease is a viral disease of cloven-hoofed animals, such as cattle. The disease is characterized by a sudden fever, followed by an eruption of blisters occurring on the mouth, tongue, and gums; on areas of tender skin such as the udder in females; and on the feet. Blisters may also appear in the nostrils.
