Certifying Florida’s Vote in the 2000 Presidential Election
On November 26, 2000, left to right, Agriculture Commissioner Bob Crawford, Secretary of State Katherine Harris, and Head of the Elections Division, Clay Roberts signed documents certifying Florida's vote in the 2000 presidential election between Democrat Al Gore and Republican George W. Bush. In the certification, Bush won Florida by 537 votes. However, the election was not finally decided until December 13, 2000, when Gore conceded the race to Bush.
