| The Abraham Lincoln, completed in 1989, stretches 338 m (1,108 ft) long and 78 m (257 ft) wide. The massive ship houses as many as 5,500 people for up to three months at a time. It offers its occupants all the amenities of a small city, including a post office with its own zip code, television and radio stations, a newspaper, a fire department, a library, a hospital, a general store, and two barbershops. The ship is powered by two nuclear reactors. |
