In October 1566 Mary, Queen of Scots, lodged in a home on Queen Street in the bustling border town of Jedburgh during one of the most trying and mysterious periods of her tragic life. Jedburgh, a royal burgh and seat of the district of Roxburgh, is today a prosperous textile manufacturing center and home to one of Scotland's foremost rugby union clubs.
