Health Care in Rwanda

Health Care in Rwanda
In recent years Rwanda has suffered from an ethnic-based civil war which prompted more than 1 million people to flee their homeland to become refugees in neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Burundi, and Tanzania. Despite high levels of HIV infection, the country has made little progress in establishing adequate health care for its people. Trained medical personnel are in short supply and access to health-care facilities is limited.
