River Dividing Paris
The Seine flows through Paris from east to west, dividing the city into the Right Bank on the north and the Left Bank on the south. The Right Bank supports small industries, fashionable shops, and office buildings, while the Left Bank is a celebrated gathering place for artists and students. A river of historical and economic importance, the Seine carries a huge volume of barge traffic.
