Virgin Islands of the United States
The Virgin Islands of the United States is part of the Lesser Antilles chain of the West Indies, located between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. There are three main islands—Saint John, Saint Thomas, and Saint Croix—as well as about 50 small islets. The mountainous main islands are popular tourist destinations, along with the British Virgin Islands to the northeast.
