Crossmaglen, a small village located in the rolling countryside of the southern part of the Armagh District, is known for its fine handmade laces. The area around the village, which lies near the border with the nation of Ireland, was a center for terrorist activities and the site of a number of terrorist incidents beginning in the late 1960s. |
