Huge boulders from a prehistoric volcanic upheaval form sea caves along The Baths, a beach at the southwest tip of Virgin Gorda, one of the British Virgin Islands. The third largest of the 40 islands that make up the dependent British territory, Virgin Gorda is 21 sq km (8.1 sq mi) in size. Located east of Puerto Rico between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the British Virgin Islands form the westernmost extension of the Lesser Antilles chain.
