Mumbai Marketplace

Mumbai Marketplace
A vegetable vendor goes over accounts at the Crawford Market in Mumbai (Bombay), the capital of the western Indian state of Mahārāshtra. Market buildings are adorned with bas-reliefs designed by British writer Rudyard Kipling's father, who was the principal of the city's School of Art in the late 19th century. A major Indian port, Mumbai is also the nation's chief trade and commercial center.
