Centre Block, Parliament Buildings
The Canadian Parliament buildings in Ottawa, Ontario, consist of a large Centre Block and East and West blocks built in the Gothic Revival style. The gabled main portal and the pointed windows are characteristic of this style. The Centre Block, constructed in 1859, burned in 1916 and was replaced by a similar structure in the 1920s.
