Jupiter

Jupiter
Jupiter was the ruler of the Roman pantheon. He exhibited many of the characteristics of his Greek counterpart, Zeus. In this 1811 painting by French neoclassical artist, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, the sea nymph Thetis beseeches Jupiter on behalf of her son, Achilles.
