| In 1970 and 1973 the Soviet Luna program delivered two rovers to the moon. These eight-wheeled robotic explorers rolled down ramps to leave their parent spacecraft (Luna 17 and Luna 21). The Lunokhods carried cameras, soil analyzers, and solar panels for power. | ||||||
