Glacial Erosion

Glacial Erosion
Glaciers such as this one covered much of the northern hemisphere of the earth during the Pleistocene Epoch. The movement of glaciers changes the surface of the earth. Moving glaciers erode and transport large quantities of rocks, sand, and other particles along their path. Glacial erosion processes form features such as hanging valleys, moraines, cirques, horns, and scoured rock faces.
