King Fahd
Fahd ibn Abdul Aziz, seated foreground, was king of Saudi Arabia from 1982 to 2005. In 1995 a stroke disabled the king, and his half-brother, Crown Prince Abdullah, became the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia. Abdullah succeeded Fahd as monarch when Fahd died in 2005.
