Barley
Barley is one of the world’s leading grain crops. Grown since biblical times, barley’s popularity is due in part to its ability to flourish in diverse climates ranging from the Arctic Circle to the tropics. About 30 percent of the barley grown in the United States is used for brewing malt beverages such as beer.
