Oklahoma City Bombing
The state of Oklahoma was cast into the national spotlight in April 1995, when Oklahoma City became the site of one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in the history of the United States. A bomb exploded outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people and destroying much of the nine-story structure.
