Housing in Nuuk

Housing in Nuuk
Although their Inuit ancestors lived in houses made of rocks and earth, today the residents of Nuuk live in wooden houses and apartment buildings like the ones pictured here. The nomadic lifestyle of the Inuit has similarly given way to permanent fishing settlements such as Nuuk, which is the capital and main port of Greenland.
