Silver Teapot
Silver has long been valued for tableware because of its high luster and beauty. Frequent polishing is needed to maintain silver’s shine because of tarnishing caused by sulfur and sulfides, which are found in small amounts in the atmosphere and in large quantities in foods such as eggs. This formal silver teapot was designed in 1790 by Hester Bateman of London.
