| Finnish architect Alvar Aalto made use of newly developed technology for bending wood in many of his furniture designs. This chair was built for the Paimio Tuberculosis Sanitorium (1929-1933) in Turku, Finland. Aalto designed the building as well as the furniture and interior fittings. | ||||||
