One of the most popular melodies from opera is the “Bridal Chorus,” also known as the “Wedding March” from Lohengrin (1848). The opera, by German composer Richard Wagner, is based on a medieval legend. The music is played at the wedding of Lohengrin, a knight of the Holy Grail, and Else of Brabant.
