Yugoslav Partisans Enter Belgrade

Yugoslav Partisans Enter Belgrade
In April 1941, during World War II, Nazi Germany and its allies invaded and conquered Yugoslavia. Armed resistance against the invaders began immediately, with one resistance group, the Partisans, head by Communist leader Josip Broz Tito. In October 1944 the Partisans liberated Belgrade from the Germans. Seen here is a column of Partisans entering the liberated capital.
