| The passage of a glacier over this part of the Canadian landscape has left it filled with lakes and crossed by ridges of glacial deposit. The Thelon Game Sanctuary is located in a remote area of northwestern Canada and is one of the largest wildlife refuges in the world. Herds of musk oxen and Beverly caribou, white wolves, and a wide variety of birds and migratory wildfowl are only a few of the many animals that can be found among the heather-covered glacial sand esker systems. | ||||||
