Trains Pass in Siberia

Trains Pass in Siberia
The construction of the Trans-Siberian Railroad, stretching from Moscow to the Pacific Ocean, facilitated a large migration of Russians to Siberia at the turn of the 20th century. As a result, commercial farming took hold in the region, and small settlements developed. This period of agricultural growth foreshadowed the much greater industrial development of Siberia that occurred during the 1930s and 1940s under the Soviet government.
