Education and Training Command Provides training and education for the Navy and Marine Corps.
Meteorology and Oceanography Command Creates weather and marine forecasts, and conducts research into the effects of climatic and ocean conditions on navy operations.
Legal Service Command Offers legal services to the Navy.
Naval Doctrine Command Develops navy policies and strategies, and coordinates them with other branches of the military.
Office of Naval Intelligence Assesses military threats, monitors foreign navies, and supplies other intelligence information to the Navy.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command Constructs buildings, manages bases and real estate, and trains and equips the Seabees, the Navy's combat engineers.
Bureau of Naval Personnel Recruits, trains, and deploys naval personnel.
Sea Systems Command Develops, tests, and acquires ships, submarines, marine weapons systems, and trains personnel in their use.
Security Group Command Provides cryptologic (code-making and code breaking) services and conducts information warfare.
Space Command Manages the Navy's space-based equipment and plans for future military actions in space.
Strategic Systems Programs Develops, installs, and maintains the Navy's ballistic missiles.
Supply Systems Command Provides supplies and logistical support for the Navy.
