Atlantic Salmon
Atlantic salmon are born in freshwater streams on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, and then migrate to sea. They return to the stream where they were born to lay eggs, or spawn. Unlike other species of salmon, Atlantic salmon survive spawning, return to the sea, and spawn again in subsequent years.
