Alfred Hitchcock
British-born motion-picture director Alfred Hitchcock is known as the Master of Suspense for his skill in directing psychological thrillers. Hitchcock began his directorial career in England, but moved to the United States in 1939 to continue his work. His notable films include Rear Window (1954), Psycho (1960), and The Birds (1963).
