Divine Head
Michelangelo created presentation drawings as gifts for friends. One such drawing, Divine Head (1530?, British Museum, London) represents the artist’s idea of a perfect female form. He has left the woman's hat and clothing relatively unfinished in order to focus attention on the beautifully rendered contours of her face and neck.
