Child Labor in the 20th Century

Child Labor in the 20th Century
Child labor remains a serious problem in many parts of the world, despite efforts from many groups worldwide to combat it. Many child laborers, like the young boy shown here working in a shoe factory, live in underdeveloped countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Typically the children work in poor conditions and have little or no chance of receiving a formal education. The meager income they earn is often necessary for their families' survival.
