Peruvian Centipede
The rear segment of the Peruvian centipede bears modified leglike appendages that the creature uses to capture and hold its prey, which consists mainly of other insects. The centipede’s jaws contain venom that immobilizes prey during feeding. One of the largest centipede species, the Peruvian centipede can grow to a length of 25 cm (10 in).
