British contralto Kathleen Ferrier sings an excerpt from the fourth of the five Kindertotenlieder (Songs on the Death of Children) by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler. The songs are poems by German writer Friedrich Rückert, which Mahler set to music in 1902.
