| French figure skater Surya Bonaly won five consecutive European championships and placed fourth in the 1994 Olympics women's figure skating competition. She is the only skater to do a layout step-out, an extremely difficult move, during competition. Bonaly gained attention during the 1998 Olympics for performing a back flip, an illegal move, during her long program. | ||||||
