The Clubfooted Boy

The Clubfooted Boy
Jusepe de Ribera was the first Spanish painter to use the realistic style in his art, which often centered on religious themes. The Clubfooted Boy, a 1652 painting featuring a beggar who directs his grin precisely toward the spectator, hangs in the Louvre museum in Paris.
