Bishop’s Palace, Astorga, Spain
In 1887 Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí undertook the design of the bishop’s palace in Astorga, near León, Spain. Six years later, following the bishop’s death, he abandoned construction of this building, which was designed in the architect’s own version of the Gothic style. The project was later finished in a style close to Gaudí’s original plan.
