Errol Flynn

Errol Flynn
In 1938 Australian-born motion-picture actor Errol Flynn won the heart of Maid Marian and defeated his evil foes as Robin Hood in The Adventures of Robin Hood. After arriving in Hollywood in the mid-1930s, Flynn became the quintessential dashing hero who always saves the day, with starring roles in such films as Captain Blood (1935), The Charge of the Light Brigade (1936), and They Died with Their Boots On (1942). However, his reckless lifestyle caused his popularity to fade by the late 1940s.
